Mussoorie, 18 Sep: The Mussoorie Landour Market Development Committee has submitted a memorandum to the Executive Engineer of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority demanding completion of the work on the Pandit Deendayal Park in Landour Market area and its inauguration on 25 September.
President of the Committee Ravi Goyal said that the renovation work on the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park is being done by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority under instructions of Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi near Ghantaghar in Landour Market. An open gym has also been built in that park but due to the negligence of the department, the construction work has not been completed. The board of the park has not been installed in the park, neither has the ramp been put on the drain nor has the arrangement of electric lights been made. He said the open gym machines installed in the gym have started rusting.
He said that 25 September is the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, hence the remaining work on the park should be completed and the park formally inaugurated so that people can benefit.
