Dehradun, 28 Sep: Tatik Helipad in Almora is due to be inaugurated on 3 October. At the same time, it has also been proposed to launch heli services between Almora and Dehradun on the same today. For this preparations are underway. This information has been shared by District Magistrate Almora Alok Kumar Pandey.
In this regard, DM Alok Kumar Pandey has made this claim after inspecting the Tatik helipad to review the preparations in this respect on Thursday. Pandey said that it is proposed to inaugurate Tatik helipad on 3 October and on the same day, heli service between Almora-Doon will also be inaugurated. The schedule of heli service will be released after this.
The DM has directed Executive Engineer of PWD to coordinate with the officials of UCADA and complete all the necessary arrangements. Whatever deficiencies are there in the landing ground, are to be taken care of on priority basis. The DM has also directed the PWD to repair the approach road of the helipad and make the road ready by removing the debris that has come from various places due to landslides. The DM said that with the start of heli service from Almora, the tourism industry will get a boost and the economy of the district will also increase. Along with this, it will take much less time to reach the capital Doon.
