Uniyal also stated that in case it is found that different members of the family have together purchased more than 250 square metres of land, the additional land will be vested in the government. The state government is sincere about making every possible effort to protect the rights of the people of the state. He said that the Chief Minister has stated that a decision will be taken in the next budget session to implement the land law in accordance with the public sentiments.

He shared that the state government has formed the Subhash Kumar Committee to draft the law after studying the ground situation. He added that whatever amendments have been made in the land law in the past but have failed to produce expected results will be amended again in accordance with public sentiments without any hesitation.
