Dehradun, 17 Nov: A senior official of Welham Girls’ School has been accused by his minor stepdaughter of sexual assault. A Zero FIR in this regard has been filed in Pune on 6 September and has been transferred to Dalanwala Police Station for investigation and further action.
The accused official is an ex-army officer and the victim is his stepdaughter, and the daughter of his second wife, who has now filed for divorce. The alleged victim was also studying in Welham Girls’ School and has passed her Class 10 from there and was admitted to Class 11 but has left her studies midway to return to Pune. Her biological father has passed away according to the FIR filed on her behalf by her mother.
The victim’s family alleges that there is not much progress in the investigation in the case by Dehradun Police and the accused is yet to be arrested. In this regard, the victim’s acquaintances have contacted the Child Rights Protection Commission seeking help.
It has now been shared that, after the allegations became known to the school authorities, the accused officer has been dismissed from service.
