Dehradun, 23 Oct: Pradesh Congress Committee President Karan Mahara has written a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami complaining that the portal for the Pradhan Mantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana have not been working in the state for the past one month. He has demanded that the employment related portal be made functional at the earliest.

In his letter, Mahara reminded that due to the failure of departmental officials, the state’s cyber system has been stalled for the past one month. This failure has brought a halt to all work related to the common people. He emphasised that, while there is talk of India becoming a Vishwa Guru in the 21st century, and the government also claims global recognition, the fact is that the state government has not been able to even fix the cyber system even a month after it was allegedly hacked. He reminded that the government has also not been able to identify the real cause behind the failure of the government cyber system in the state.

Mahara pointed out that. currently, everything from filing FIRs in police stations to distributing ration, from issuing slips in government hospitals to paying school fees in government schools is done online. The failure of the cyber system has caused all these systems to come to a standstill, affecting the general public.

The state Congress president highlighted that the number of unemployed people in the state is increasing daily. In this situation, it is ironic that the portal for Pradhan Mantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana could not be restored after the failure of the government’s cyber system. As a result, applications from unemployed youth seeking loans for self-employment under these schemes are lying pending, affecting the interests of thousands of youths.

Mahara stressed that while government systems have become dependent on cyber systems, the lack of experts and the failure of officials have weakened the state’s cyber system, making it vulnerable to attacks. He also claimed that this failure has damaged the reputation and image of the state government across the country. The Congress leader also demanded that Chief Minister Dhami ensure the appointment of cyber experts in the state to provide relief to the general public, repair the state’s cyber system promptly, and relaunch the portal for Pradhan Mantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Swatantra Rojgar Yojana at the earliest.
