DM Savin Bansal hears people’s problems in multipurpose camp held at Raipur

Dehradun, 24 Oct: A multipurpose camp was organised at Raipur Inter College in the Raipur development block at the initiative of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, who also chaired the meeting.

Local MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’ and SSP, Dehradun, Ajai Singh were also present. A large number of complainants attended the multipurpose camp. The DM issued necessary instructions to department officials for the quick resolution of public problems.

Bansal also sent a team of the electricity department to replace faulty electricity meters, with complainants expressing their gratitude. Most of the complaints received during the camp were resolved on the spot. It was reported that a large number of elderly citizens and women had come to the camp to register their complaints.

The DM directed the officials to ensure that no complainant left the camp disappointed and that every complaint should be resolved. While hearing the problems at the camp, he instructed officials of the departments concerned to resolve public issues on the spot, especially those of senior citizens and women. He also directed that issues referred to the department for redressal be resolved in a timely manner, with updates to be shared on the action taken.

Bansal also inspected the stalls set up by various departments at the multipurpose camp. During the camp, Ayushman Cards, Aadhar Cards, Ration Cards, PM Kisan and Pension Applications were also made on the spot. A total of 94 people received their Ayushman cards during the camp. Regarding certain complaints, the DM also ordered the demarcation of land and instructed the Tehsildar, Sadar, to inform him about the action taken.

At the camp, cheques of Rs 1 lakh each were distributed to 8 beneficiaries of the Animal Husbandry Department. Cheques and equipment were also distributed to beneficiaries of the Agriculture Department. The Child Development Department distributed 6 Kishori Poshan Kits, 9 Maa Laxmi Kits, and 20 Baby Kits to the beneficiaries on the occasion.

Doctors and paramedics from the Health Department also conducted health check-ups for the attendees and provided medicines and treatment on the spot. A total of 350 people received health check-ups and medicines, while minor general surgery was conducted on 18 patients on the spot itself. The Agriculture Department distributed machinery equipment and grant cheques worth Rs 4 lakh to groups, while cheques worth Rs 80,000 and Rs 32,000 were distributed to 6 beneficiaries. The Revenue Department issued 48 certificates on the spot, including income, survivor, residence, and caste certificates. The Employment Department conducted career counselling for 193 students, including 102 girls and 91 boys. Ration cards were made on the spot for complainants who had been seeking them. Five complainants received their ration cards on the spot. Six old age pension applications from the Social Welfare Department were approved on the spot. The Labour Department distributed more than 500 blankets to eligible people. Similarly, wheelchairs and equipment were also distributed to the disabled in the camp. Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, SDM Harigiri, Chief Health Officer Dr Sanjay Jain, DDO Sunil Kumar, and officials and personnel of all the related departments were present at the camp.
