Dehradun, 16 Dec: The responsibilities of officers in the Chief Minister’s Office at the Secretariat have been reshuffled. An order issued from the Chief Secretary’s Office outlined the division of work among officers from the Chief Secretary to the Additional Secretary Chief Minister level.
According to the orders issued today, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu will now handle the disposal of files from departments such as Finance, Personnel, Home, Public Works Department, Industrial Development, Housing, and Transport. He has also been asked to oversee matters related to other states and the judiciary.

Secretary Shailesh Bagoli will now deal with the files from departments like Council of Ministers, Energy, Agriculture, School Education, Tourism, Irrigation, Forest, and Sports. Additionally, he has also been given the responsibility to deal with files related to the matters concerning Raj Bhawan and with files related to the assembly constituency of the Chief Minister (Champawat).
Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, previously handling the Home Department, will now oversee files pertaining to Excise and Mining, Government Estates, Disaster Management, Urban Development, Women Empowerment and Child Development, Secretariat Administration, Information, Revenue, Labour, and Peyjal (Drinking Water). He will also coordinate with MLAs and MPs, district officials, and also matters related to Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund.
Secretary SN Pandey will now handle files from departments such as Co-operation, Animal Husbandry, Health, Panchayati Raj, and Rural Development. He will also manage requisitions for appointments in various commissions and provide information on the Chief Minister’s meetings.
Additional Secretary Jagdish Chandra Kandpal will oversee departments like Horticulture, Social Welfare, Culture, Religious Endowments, Silk, and Justice. In addition, Kandpal has been also asked to coordinate the Chief Minister’s stay and tour programmes outside the capital and manage the Chief Minister’s protocol.
Besides the reshuffle in the responsibilities of the officers in the CMO, link officers have also been designated. Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu and Secretary Shailesh Bagoli will serve as link officers for each other. Similarly, Vinay Shankar Pandey and SN Pandey will act as link officers for each other.
