Dehradun, 22 Dec: St Joseph’s Academy came alive with festive cheer as the Principal, Brothers, staff and students gathered for the much-anticipated Christmas programme held in the school auditorium on 20 December.
The event began by taking the blessings of the Almighty followed by a mesmerising prayer dance by the SJA girls. The auditorium, adorned with twinkling lights, stars, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, created the perfect backdrop for the morning. The Principal, Brother Joseph M Joseph addressed the students, apprising them about the true meaning of Christmas. He said that this festive season is a reminder for all to express gratitude, spread happiness and strengthen the bonds of friendship and community.
Next, the SJA choir presented a mellifluous Christmas rendition. A lively nativity play, enacted by the middle school students, captivated the audience, reminding everyone of the true essence of Christmas.
The SJA choir presented a delightful Christmas carol medley leaving the audience spellbound. The most thrilling part of the programme was the surprise visit of Santa Claus with the choir singing ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Feliz Navidad’, delighting the children. Santa handed out goodies and spread laughter.
