Govt holds stakeholders meeting on proposed Char Dham Yatra Authority

Dehradun, 2 Jan: Under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, a review meeting was held at the Secretariat here, today, with the Teerth Purohits, hotel associations, Panda Panchayats, and various other stakeholders to discuss the successful conduct of the Char Dham Yatra and the constitution of the proposed Char Dham Yatra Authority.

Extensive discussions were held on the systematic and successful conduct of the Char Dham Yatra. Written suggestions were shared by stakeholders regarding smooth traffic connectivity to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dhams, ease of registration and darshan for common travellers, parking facilities, toilets, cleanliness, and security measures.

Additional Director General of Police (ADG) AP Anshuman, Secretary Sachin Kurve, Secretary and Commissioner, Garhwal, Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Dr V Murugeshan, President, Teerth Purohit Sangh Badrinath, Umanand Sati, President, Badrinath Panda Panchayat, Praveen Dhyani, President, Uttarakhand Teerth Purohit Mahapanchayat, Suresh Semwal, General Secretary, Uttarakhand Teerth Purohit Mahapanchayat, Dr Vijay Sati, President, Joint Rotation Yatra Management Committee, Naveen Chand Ramola, President, Hotel Association Gangotri, Anil Nautiyal, President, Hotel Association Yamuna Valley Shobhan Singh Rana, and Sachin, Temple Committee Yamunotri representative Sunil Uniyal were present at the meeting.
