Dehradun, 2 Jan: Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyay and mentor of the Save Himalaya campaign as well as mentor of the forest rights movement, has urged the Sant Samaj, Central and State governments, and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, to adopt the theme “Save Himalaya-Save Ganga” for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Upadhyay has asserted that this theme will make the Maha Kumbh years truly meaningful. He also added that this initiative would have a global impact, garnering support from the international community in a spirit of cooperation. Upadhyay also called for efforts to save the Ganga from the pollution caused by the leather industry in Kanpur and urged the UP CM to resolve this issue.
