Dhami approves several development projects including drinking water project in Doon

Dehradun, 4 Feb: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given financial approval to several development projects from across the state. These projects include a drinking water project in Hathibarkala, Dehradun, at the cost of Rs 6.19 crores. An approval of Rs 329.71 lakhs has been granted by him for strengthening and asphalting work in the remaining part of Kwalgaon Jhumrada motor road in the Naugaon development block of the Yamunotri assembly constituency in Uttarkashi district, under the state plan for the year 2024-25. The CM also approved an amount of Rs 469.53 lakhs for strengthening and asphalting work in the remaining part of Naugaon Sayuri motor road in the Purola development block of the same assembly constituency.

Dhami has also given financial approval of Rs 830.52 lakhs for the widening and improvement of the motor road from Km 73 of NH 109 to New Collectorate, Almora, and Medical College, Almora.

Furthermore, he also approved an amount of Rs 390.16 lakhs for the construction of a police station at Banbhulpura on the land cleared of illegal encroachment, located in Haldwani. An amount of Rs 422.43 lakhs has also been approved for the construction of a new building for the police station in Banbasa, Champawat district.

In addition, an amount of Rs 593.39 lakhs has been approved for the second phase of the Advanced Training Centre and for the construction of a retaining wall and internal road at Government Polytechnic, Champawat. Rs 415.37 lakhs has been approved for the scheme of RBF tubewell construction and related works in the Mayapur drinking water scheme under the Gopeshwar branch of Chamoli district. Significantly, an amount of Rs 619.66 lakhs has been approved for the Naya Gaon Hathibarkala drinking water scheme in Dehradun.

As per the Chief Minister’s earlier announcement, financial approval of Rs 41.514 lakhs has been given for the construction of Harichand Guruchand Bang Vishal Community Building in the rural area of the Rudrapur Assembly constituency for the year 2024-25. Rs 103.50 lakhs has been approved for the beautification of the Chatkeshwar Mahadev Mela site of Siblo village, the ancient Shiva temple of Devtal village in the Pithoragarh assembly constituency, and Rs 83.61 lakhs were approved for the beautification of the Hanuman temple fair site in Ladhauli, Aadi fair site in Kalukhan, and Footling fair site in Kalukhan of Champawat district. An amount of Rs 55 lakhs has been approved for the construction of Jan Milan Kendra in Bhandari village of the Didihaat assembly constituency.

The CM has also accorded financial and administrative sanction of Rs 791.79 lakhs for the provision of internal/external electricity and water supply, rainwater harvesting, an underground water tank, a solar water heater, roads, a boundary wall, and the necessary water and sewer system for the campus, in addition to residential buildings at Government Nursing Institute, Kothagi in Rudraprayag. Rs 80.39 lakhs has been approved for the renovation and development of Lachair Mahakali temple in the Didihaat assembly constituency and Rs 56.30 lakh in the current financial year 2024-25 for the installation of interlocking tiles in a 500-meter stretch of road from Devidhura district Champawat main market to the college.
