DEHRADUN, 6 Mar: Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mukhwa and Harsil as unforgettable. He emphasized that in the silver jubilee year of the state, the Prime Minister’s visit will not only give a new identity to winter tourism in Uttarakhand but will also enhance the global recognition of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Dev Bhoomi.
The Governor highlighted that this visit will propel winter tourism in a new direction, establishing Uttarakhand as a premier wedding and film shooting destination on the global stage. Additionally, it will play a key role in elevating the Char Dham Yatra and the overall tourism sector of the state. This visit will serve as a strong foundation for economic growth and employment generation efforts in Uttarakhand.
