During the meeting, Bindra invited the Governor to the flagging off ceremony of the first pilgrimage group, led by the Panj Pyare, scheduled for 22 May from Rishikesh, marking the commencement of the Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2025. He emphasised that every effort must be made to ensure the journey is smooth and safe for all devotees, with necessary basic facilities available along the route.

Bindra informed the Governor that the Indian Army has already inspected the yatra route and the snow-clearing operations will begin shortly. The construction of the valley bridge at Govindghat is progressing rapidly and will be completed soon. Other repair and construction works are also being carried out with the aim of completion within the stipulated timeline.
