Dehradun, 21 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to several complainants today to review the effectiveness of the CM Helpline 1905. During the review meeting, he sought direct feedback from the complainants to ensure that departments were promptly addressing grievances as per his instructions. The complainants confirmed that after his previous directives, their issues had been resolved, expressing gratitude for his intervention.
It may be recalled that, recently, the CM had reviewed pending complaints on the CM Helpline, identifying cases that required urgent action. He had instructed departments to resolve them within a stipulated time. Today, during a meeting with senior officials at the CM’s residence, he personally reached out to complainants to verify departmental action.
In one case, Uttarkashi resident Lakshmi Devi had lodged a complaint with the Education Department regarding difficulties in obtaining her family pension. Speaking to the CM, she confirmed that following his directions, the department had approved her pension. The complainants expressed their appreciation for the swift resolution of their issues.
It may be recalled that the CM is not only reviewing complaints registered on the CM Helpline but is also closely monitoring departmental responses with a hands-on approach. By personally verifying resolved complaints, he has attempted to reinforce accountability, prompting departments to act swiftly on grievances.
Present at the meeting were Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) AP Anshuman, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, and MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari.
