DEHRADUN, 26 Jul: A departmental selection committee meeting for the three energy public sector undertakings—Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL), Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL), and UJVN Ltd— was convened on Saturday at the UPCL headquarters, Victoria Cross Winner Gabar Singh Urja Bhawan. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary and Chairman of UPCL, PTCUL, and UJVN Ltd, Anand Bardhan. During the session, several senior officers were promoted to directorial level posts as recommended by the committee.
Committee members included Additional Secretary (Energy) Ahmed Iqbal, Additional Secretary (Industrial Development) Umesh Narayan Pandey, as well as the Managing Directors and other Directors from the three corporations. The selection committee carefully examined departmental regulations and guidelines, subsequently recommending the promotion of 27 officers to various vacant posts, as well as for anticipated vacancies up to June 30,2026.
Within Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd, promotions include Sanjay Kumar Tamta, who has moved up from Chief Engineer Level-1 to Executive Director (Technical). Brijmohan Singh Parmar and Rajkumar are both promoted from Chief Engineer Level-2 to Chief Engineer Level-1, the latter as a consequential selection. Diwan Singh Khati also advances to Chief Engineer Level-1 under consequential selection rules. Narendra Singh Bisht, Amit Kumar, and Rahul Jain have all been elevated from Superintending Engineer (E&M) to Chief Engineer Level-2, with Amit Kumar and Rahul Jain’s elevations being consequential. New Superintending Engineers (E&M) are Vishal Singh Rana, Vivek Rajput, and Arun Kant, all previously Executive Engineers (E&M), with the latter two selected consequentially. In the civil department, Mohammed Saleem and Pradeep Kumar Pant move from Executive Engineer (Civil) to Superintending Engineer (Civil). In personnel, Jitendra Singh and Surinder Kumar Bhatia have been promoted from Deputy Chief Personnel Officer to Deputy General Manager (HR).
At Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd, Eela Chandar advances from Chief Engineer Level-2 to Level-1. Pankaj Kumar, Mant Ram, and Lalit Mohan Bisht step up from Superintending Engineer to Chief Engineer Level-2. New Superintending Engineers (E&M) are Balwant Singh Pangti, Ashok Kumar, and Santosh Vashishth, all previously Executive Engineers (E&M). Executive Engineers (Civil), Mahesh Rawat and Pramod Kumar Dhyani, are promoted to Superintending Engineer (Civil). Vivekanand is promoted from Deputy Chief Personnel Officer to Deputy General Manager (HR).
Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd promotions include Vinod Kumar Nainwal, advanced from Deputy Chief Accounts Officer to Deputy General Manager (Accounts), and Neeraj Jain, who becomes General Manager (Accounts) from Deputy General Manager (Accounts). Rajesh Chandra has been promoted from Deputy General Manager (HR) to General Manager (Personnel & Industrial Relations).
Present as members of the departmental selection committee were Managing Director Anil Kumar, Director (Operations) MR Arya, Director (Projects) Ajay Kumar Agarwal, and Executive Director (HR) RJ Malik from UPCL. From PTCUL. Among those present included Managing Director PC Dhyani and Director (Operations) Gajendra Singh Budiyal. UJVN Ltd was represented by Managing Director Sandeep Singhal, Director (Operations) Vinay Mishra, and Executive Director (Finance) Sudhakar Badoni
