DEHRADUN, 15 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the book ‘Leading Ladies of India’, authored by Venu Agrahara Dhingra at a local literature festival held at Doon International School, on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he observed that literature serves as a powerful medium for expressing emotions, ideas, and experiences, and that it plays a vital role in fostering social and cultural awareness. He hoped that the book would inspire readers, particularly women, to advance with confidence and purpose.
Dhami also claimed that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State Government has been consistently working towards women’s empowerment. He pointed out that the demand for products manufactured by Women Self-Help Groups in Uttarakhand is steadily increasing and that various schemes aimed at making women self-reliant are being implemented across the state.
