HARIDWAR, 1 Jan: The Haridwar Literature Festival 3.0 concluded on a memorable note here on Wednesday with an engaging final session steeped in literature and poetry. Young writers shared their creative journeys with the literary exponents. Vrinda Vani, Sejat Bali, Aarohi Sharma and Sirat Arora shared insights into their creative processes, describing writing as a medium for new perspectives, self-expression, self-discovery and finding the true meaning in life.

Sirat Arora discussed her maiden book after its release at the festival.

The teenage author, Sirat Arora of class nine from Delhi Public School, Ranipur, spoke about her book, titled ‘Verum Donum’, saying, “A collection of poems, my book has been published by BriBooks publisher. At the age of 8, I started inscribing my thoughts on paper. Honestly, writing a poem, I feel, is printing down yourself in pages; and if those thoughts can be printed in someone’s mind then it embraces the poem.” She further said that each page, line and word has its own importance capturing different emotions. When asked about her role model, she said, “My role model are my parents. They are engaged in their karma, and are karma yogis. I also spend my time doing my daily chores, performing my duties with sincerity and leaving the result to God.” Her book got much appreciation amongst the readers.

Her poems are titled around the aspects of life such as “The way you mould”, “No one is perfect”, “The awakening journey”, “The harmony of change” and others. The author imagines a harmonious world of peace where there are no strife, honesty and modesty rules in her poems.

The session was jointly moderated by Dr Bharti Sharma and Dr Ashima Shravan.

Earlier in the morning, a special interactive session on the Bhagavad Gita was organised under the aegis of Jiyo Gita, led by Swami Gyananand. Designed especially for school students, the session focused on the core message of the Gita awakening a sense of duty that elevates an ordinary individual.
