Mansi Bisht, daughter of Uttarakhand, becomes judge in Chhattisgarh

Dehradun, 6 May: A function was organized today in the Law College Dehradun of Uttaranchal University in  honor of Mansi Bisht, who graduated from here and has now became a judge in the state of Chhattisgarh. The Chancellor of the University, Jitendra Joshi welcomed Mansi by giving her a bouquet and a memento. He said that Mansi has brought glory to the Law College as well as the entire state with her achievements and her achievements will become an inspirational example for the youth of the state.
Dean of Law College Dehradun and Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna said that Mansi is originally from Lohaghat in Champawat District and both her mother and father are school headmasters while her brother is studying medicine. Along with studies, Mansi is also an outstanding sport person. Mansi has been a national player of volleyball, while she has won gold medal in discuss throw and silver medal in javelin throw in the national games and has also represented the university in volleyball and athletics.
In her address, Mansi said that her dream was to play for India at the international level, but the environment of legal education prevalent in the Law College Dehradun, the guidance of teachers and the lectures organized here by former students who had become judges, changed her perspective and the path was paved for her to choose the best career of her life. While giving tips for success in judicial services, she told the students that for the preliminary examination, it is necessary to repeatedly read the Bare Acts related to the syllabus and practice multiple choice questions, whereas for the main examination, along with law, it is necessary to study language, general knowledge and detailed information about the local laws of the concerned state.
Those present on the occasion were Principal of Law College Dehradun Prof Poonam Rawat, Head Dr Radhey Shyam Jha, Mother of Mansi Mamta Bisht, Dr Kamal Pandey, Kavita Pandey, Abhiranjan Dixit, Amit Chaudhary, Ravneet Kaur, Ujjawal Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Priyadarshini, Ashok Dobhal, Nikunj Yadav, Vatsal and hundreds of students.
