‘E-Waste Ideathon’ held at Graphic Era

Dehradun, 29 May: Students showcased innovative ideas at the ‘E-Waste Ideathon’ held at Graphic Era, here. Agrim and Akshat’s idea of a Bio Circuit bagged the first position.
The event, titled Eco-Innovative 25 – E-Waste Management Ideathon, was organised at Graphic Era Deemed University, here, today. Chief Guest and Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal addressed the programme and said that e-waste has become a serious challenge in the current times. The initiative and innovative thinking of the students could become a significant step towards creating smart and sustainable cities in the future. She encouraged all the participants to continue to bring up new ideas in the future.
Students from various universities presented their thoughts and ideas on recycling, reusing, and safe disposal of e-waste. Among them, Agrim’s idea of a Bio Circuit and Akshat’s idea of a Lithium Battery Recycling Plant jointly secured the first position. The second position was awarded to Shaurya Sharma, Mansi Kushwaha, and Siddhi Tiwari for their idea of an E-Waste Recycling Plant. Aryan Kansal’s idea, Innovative Approach to E-Waste Management, secured the third position.
The event was organised by the Department of Management Studies in collaboration with Eco Group Society. Head of the Department of Management Studies, Dr Navneet Rawat, President of the Eco Group Society Ashish Garg, along with faculty members and students were present at the event.
