Allahabad Bank MD briefs CM on development schemes

DEHRADUN, 15 Jan: Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Allahabad Bank Ch SS Mallikarjuna met Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at the latter’s residence, here, on Monday. The Chief Minister urged Allahabad Bank to provide better banking facilities to the common person, as well as provided loan to the beneficiaries of various self-employment schemes. He said that the banks contributed a lot to the economic development of the state. He expressed the hope, that, as in the case of Aadhaar cards, the Allahabad Bank officials would cooperate in providing Golden Cards to the beneficiaries of the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana.
Mallikarjuna apprised the Chief Minister that Allahabad Bank had always been committed to the development of the country and, in future, also, the effort would be that, under financial inclusion, through the Gram Mohalla Contact Programme, all rural and semi-urban area customers would benefit from the various beneficial schemes of the bank. Through its branches in the rural areas of all the districts, Allahabad Bank was making significant contribution in government schemes, poverty eradication, agriculture modernisation and MSMEs. Its total business in the state was Rs 3100 crores in 2018. Allahabad Bank was actively participating in various government schemes along with state-centric schemes such as Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Paryatan Swarozgar Yojana, MSME and Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Grih Awas Yojana.
Also present on the occasion were the Bank’s FGM, Vikas Kumar, AGM Seema Narang, Senior Manager Devendra Kandpal, etc.
