DEHRADUN, 5 Jan: Office bearers of the Allahabad Bank have urged the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for more participation of the Bank in the Government Finance Schemes related to the basic infrastructure development and investment proposals in Uttarakhand.
Through its 41 branches in the rural areas of all the districts, Allahabad Bank is making significant contribution in government schemes, poverty eradication, agriculture modernization and MSME. So far, Rs. 10 crores have been approved by Allahabad Bank in the entire state under Mudra Yojana and Stand-up Scheme. While focusing on financial inclusion, Allahabad Bank has opened 68000 accounts in the state under the Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana. In this, there has been special focus on Aadhaar seeding, PMSBY Yojana registration, PMJJBY Yojana registration and RuPay card. Its total business in the state was Rs. 3100 crores in year 2018. Allahabad Bank is actively participating in various government schemes in the state along with state-centric schemes such as Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Yojana, MSME and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Grih Awas Yojana.
Allahabad Bank Zonal Head Seema Narang met the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at the CM Residence on Saturday and held discussions on the effective coordination between Allahabad Bank and State Government in the development of the state.
