Rishikesh, 9 Jan: The Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust has announced its annual free medical camp, scheduled for 11 January in Rishikesh. This initiative, a cherished tradition for the past 14 years, provides essential healthcare services to the community, especially the underprivileged.
This year, 62 renowned doctors specialising in fields such as Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Oncology, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, and more will offer free consultations. Patients will also receive free medicines, along with complimentary pathology and radiology services. Additionally, the participating doctors commit to providing free follow-up care for patients treated during the camp.
Over 2,000 patients have already registered, reflecting the growing trust and need for this vital service.
The Chairman of the Trust, S Narinderjit Singh Bindra, has appealed to the community: “I request everyone to help and assist the underprivileged in availing this annual opportunity to access quality medical care without any cost.”
This medical camp is organised annually as part of the celebrations commemorating the Gurpurab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, who meditated at the sacred site of Shri Hemkunt Sahib in his previous birth, as described by him in the Bachitra Natak composition of the Dasam Granth.
The Trust invites all to participate in this noble seva and extend support to those in need.
