Dehradun, 21 May: Students of Graphic Era Global School were honoured today for their outstanding academic performance and remarkable achievements in various activities. In the senior category, Yashraj Pundir and Radhika Thapa won the title of Best Athlete, while Arjun Ghanshala was selected as the Best Footballer of the Year.

The school organised its Annual Prize Day today to honour students for their academic achievements, sporting talent, and exceptional performances. Principal Rajkumar Trehan said that education is not merely about gaining knowledge but is a powerful medium for personality development. He stated that students who make continuous efforts with hard work, discipline, and positive thinking are the ones who turn their dreams into reality and reach new heights of success.

In the Best Athlete of the Year (Senior Category), Radhika Thapa and Yashraj Pundir emerged victorious, while Aarav Sharma and Aradhana Thakuri secured top honours in the middle category. In the junior category, Shivay Singh and Vanshika Semwal claimed first position. In the Inter-House Cook House Competition, Khushi Goswami, Utkarsh Kathait, Arjun Ghanshala, Om Singh, and Vaishnavi B Choubey proved their excellence. In the Inter-House Badminton Competition, Utkarsh Kathait and Aadya Dimri emerged as winners, while Chitrarth Agnihotri, Anaisha Naithani, Arjun Ghanshala, and Aradhana Thakuri delivered outstanding performances in the Inter-House Football Competition. In the Inter-House Kho-Kho Competition, Swastik Singh Payal and Swasthi Thapa excelled.

Students of Graphic Era Global School achieved remarkable success at district, state, and national-level competitions through their exceptional talent, discipline, and sporting excellence, for which they were honoured. Radhika Thapa excelled in the Uttarakhand State Rifle/Pistol Championship, while Kartikeya Nainwal showcased his talent in chess competitions. Aadya Dimri performed brilliantly in the district badminton championship, while Anubhavi Chaudhary was selected for the national shooting championship. In the state-level table tennis competition, Sarthak Bisht and Riddhima Bisht won medals. Aber Khan and Ankush Bhandari delivered impressive performances in the Thang-Ta Championship. Students Ahana Dhawan, Tanisha Akram Ansari, and Ansh Pratap Singh were honoured for their excellent performance in the ICSE Board Examination 2026, and were also awarded scholarships for their achievements.

The cultural performances captivated the audience. Students showcased their talent through Ganesh Vandana, devotional songs, and dance performances. Pahadi, Nepali, Gujarati Garba-Dandiya, and Bengali Dhunuchi dances beautifully reflected the diversity and richness of Indian culture and heritage.
