DEHRADUN, 5 Feb: The new Prefect Body of The Asian School was invested with duties for the academic session 2019-20. A solemn occasion, the ceremony began with the members marching to the stage in sync to music.
To help the students feel the sense of responsibility, outstanding students were invested with the duties of office bearers. The function commenced with the spell binding rendition of ‘We Shall Overcome’.
The Principal invested the new appointees with their position of authority. After taking the Oath to maintain fairness in judgment, each of the newly appointed student leaders had their badges pinned by the Principal. Earlier these students were selected through an election held in December, 2018.
Kipa Yullo and Asmita Srivastava were appointed as the Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively.
Juhi Gautam and Aryan Vijay Dutt Thapliyal were appointed the Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy, respectively.
Principal AK Das congratulated the students and wished them luck. He urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity. Anant VDThapliyal, Vice-Principal; Mukesh Nangia, Head, Middle School; Kalpana Grover, Head Mistress, as also the entire teaching staff attended the function.
