Dehradun, 23 Sept: While reviewing the Department of AYUSH and AYUSH Education at the Secretariat here, today, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officers to develop some better wellness centres in the state. AYUSH tourism should be promoted, he directed. He said that the land of Uttarakhand is the land of AYUSH. Along with promoting AYUSH in the state, it should also be given wide publicity. Ayurveda and Ayush are our ancient medical systems, it is necessary to promote them, he stated.

The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to make Uttarakhand drug-free by 2025. A detailed plan should be made about how the Department of AYUSH can help through AYUSH therapy.

Dhami directed the officers of the Department of AYUSH to start the system of providing AYUSH medical consultation to the general public through tele-medicine portal e-Sanjeevani. All necessary arrangements should be ensured in the AYUSH health and wellness centres being built under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, a proposal required to be made to provide medical reimbursement to the golden card holders who get treatment in Ayush hospitals.
