Dehradun, 3 Jun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired the 65th meeting of the State Level Empowered Committee on investment under the Single Window system at the Secretariat here today. During the meeting, new proposals approved by the Director General and Commissioner of Industries were placed for consideration.
Bardhan expressed displeasure over delays in disposing of 143 land use change cases and 154 other related matters at the district level. He directed all the district magistrates to act proactively and ensure timely resolution of cases linked to the Single Window system. He instructed the Secretary, Industries, to seek explanations from officials responsible for the delays, emphasising that approvals and clearances under the Single Window mechanism must be granted within the stipulated timeframe. He underlined that pending matters from both the first and second phases should be resolved at the earliest to fulfil the objectives of the state government’s Ease of Doing Business initiative.
Among those present at the meeting were Secretaries Vinay Shankar Pandey, Dr V Shanmugam, C Ravishankar, Special Secretary Dr Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Additional Secretary Saurabh Gaharwar and senior officers from the departments concerned.
