PATNA, 17 Oct: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed a public meeting in Warsaliganj assembly constituency in Bihar today in support of BJP candidate Aruna Dev and urged the voters to ensure her resounding victory. Dhami described Bihar as a land steeped in culture, knowledge and pride and reminded that from this soil emerged the wisdom of Lord Buddha, the valour of Emperor Ashoka, and a message of dharma that spread across the world. He emphasised that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development is proceeding at a rapid pace in Bihar, and welfare schemes such as the Jan Dhan Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana are improving the lives of the poor. However, he also reminded that Bihar witnessed Jungle Raj during the rule of Lalu Yadav the then CM of Bihar.

Dhami claimed that the Modi government has provided houses to over 50 lakh people in Bihar. He compared this achievement with the Congress era, when slogans such as ‘Garibi Hatao’ were merely echoed, whereas today numerous schemes are operational to fulfil the aspirations of even the most marginalised. He added that the Prime Minister has overseen projects worth over Rs 9.5 lakh crores for Bihar’s comprehensive development, triggering a new era of infrastructure growth in the state.

Citing examples of road construction, Dhami said that under highways, expressways, and rural road schemes, lakhs of kilometres of roads have been laid in Bihar. He pointed out that the railway budget has increased tenfold compared to the Congress period, twenty Vande Bharat trains are now operational in the state, and Patna airport has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility.

Responding to political attacks, Dhami criticised parties such as RJD and Congress for promoting appeasement and anti national agendas. He alleged that while Congress filled its coffers over six decades, the RJD regime was marked by scandals involving fodder, land, jobs, and benami properties that remain publicly known.

Later, in Siwan, the CM also addressed another rally for BJP candidate Mangal Pandey, seeking public support in the state assembly elections. He also participated in a nomination and blessings meeting in support of BJP candidate Deveshkant Singh in Goriakothi assembly constituency alongside Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, urging the people to deliver a decisive mandate to the NDA.
