BJP appeals to Cong not to politicise Haldwani encroachment case

By Our Staff Reporter
HALDWANI, 4 Jan: BJP State President, Mahendra Bhatt, today claimed that government was moving ahead with a well planned roadmap to deal with unemployment and inflation. He accused that the rising figure of unemployment was temporary and a seasonal phase which would soon pass, but the Congress was deliberately twisting facts to make political capital out of the issue. He also claimed that it was the then Congress Government which has been protecting scamsters in the state but the current BJP Government under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is determined to root out corruption, and to ensure punishment to the scamsters. The BJP government is also committed towards ensuring greater transparency in governance.
Speaking about the current controversy of encroachments on Railway land in Haldwani, Bhatt claimed that the encroachments on Railway Land in Vanbhulpura in Haldwani was a result of vote bank politics of Congress. Now that the evictions have been ordered by the High Court, the Congress is making a political issue of the same. The Congress party is fully responsible for the encroachments but it is trying to blame the issue on BJP Government. The problem has grown to this level because the Congress never wanted to resolve the issues.

Bhatt appealed to the Congress not to look at the issue through a political prism and instead wait for the Supreme Court judgement on the issue as the matter is sub-judice before the Apex Court at present.
