Dehradun 5 Sep: Expressing happiness over the peaceful polling in the Bageshwar by-election, BJP has claimed that its candidate will win by a record number of votes. The polling was held today.
In a statement issued by State President Mahendra Bhatt, he congratulated the public for decisive and peaceful polling in the constituency. Bhatt also congratulated the Election Commission and the local administration for successfully conducting the elections.
He claimed that the way the public has voted enthusiastically is a clear indication of approval for the BJP government. He said that based on the information received from all the polling booths, so far, it is clear that party candidate Parvati Das is certain to win with record votes. Every vote of the public has been recorded in the EVM as a tribute to the contribution of late Chandan Ramdas who had ensured a lot of development in the constituency and also as an indicator of the people’s faith in Chief Minister Dhami.
He claimed that when the election results will be announced on 8 September, it will herald a new sunrise of development for the people of Bageshwar. The BJP Government will strive hard to fulfil the unfulfilled dreams of the late Chandan Ramdas regarding the development in his constituency.
Bhatt also claimed that the opposition, including the Congress, tried to mislead the voters in the elections by levelling various false allegations but Bageshwar has voted positively on the issue of development.
