Dehradun, 23 Jul: BJP in Uttarakhand has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the NEET exam, calling it in the interest of 24 lakh students. State media in-charge of the party Manveer Chauhan claimed that the central government is taking serious action on the controverses raised regarding the NEET UG exam. The CBI investigation is going on and many people have also been arrested. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also satisfied the Parliament by sharing with the House, details of all the actions taken by the government so far in this regard. The government has clarified that cancelling the exam altogether would be injustice to 24 lakh students who have appeared in the examination honestly. At the same time, in view of the seriousness and far-reaching effects of this entire episode, BJP has been with the sentiments of the students from the very beginning.
Chauhan added that on the basis of the investigation done so far, the court has accepted that there is not enough evidence about any large scale irregularities in the exam and that the CBI is investigating the case and that it is not justified to conduct the entire exam again.
Chauhan also urged all the successful students to participate in the NEET counselling which is starting tomorrow. He also wished them all the best for their future.
