Dehradun, 16 Oct: The BJP has welcomed the announcement of the Kedarnath byelection dates. State Party President Mahendra Bhatt has claimed that the party will repeat the spectacular performance of Haryana and Jammu Kashmir in Kedarnath. He also claimed that the public is going to burst the Congress balloon of confusion and lies here also.
Reacting to the election announcement, Bhatt said on Tuesday that the party organisation is fully prepared to seek the blessings of the people of the Kedarnath Assembly. Booth and Panna committees have been working actively there since the Lok Sabha elections. Being a cadre-based unit, party workers remain active among the public all the time. The party had already appointed the Assembly in-charge, co-in-charge, and in-charges of all the five divisions there.
Bhatt also asserted that the historic work being done by the double-engine government in Kedar Valley and the ideological resolution of the party are before the public. Based on the ground feedback received, the BJP candidate is sure to win there with record votes.
Rajya Sabha MP Bhatt reminded that the Kedarnath assembly has been a traditional seat of the BJP, which fell vacant after the tragic death of late Shaila Rani Rawat. Now, the government and the BJP have resolved to complete the development works left incomplete by the late popular MLA, for which the BJP will seek blessings of the people once again. The voters of Kedar Valley have two options. On the one side, there is BJP, which is trying to transform the area based on policies of development and heritage, while on the other hand, there are all the opposition parties, including Congress, who oppose the development works being done in Kedar Dham. They do not want a record number of devotees to come attracted by the grand divine form of the Dhams, which would lead to a tremendous increase in the local economy. Bhatt also claimed that Congress is also not in favour of stopping the infiltration of outsiders who disturb the peaceful valleys and the demography of Uttarakhand, which should be maintained with a Sanatani identity. However, the great people of the region have also sensed the mood of the country through the Haryana elections on the so-called issues of Agniveer and farmers. Therefore, they have also made up their minds to teach a lesson to the opposition, which is indulging in politics of lies and confusion.
