DEHRADUN, 20 Jan: The Bharatiya Janata Party cadre in Dehradun today celebrated with enthusiasm following the appointment of Nitin Nabin as the new National President of the party. Congratulatory messages and festivities marked the occasion as the party leaders and the party workers expressed confidence that the new leadership would energise the organisation and strengthen its electoral prospects. In his message to the party workers on this occasion, State BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt claimed that Nabin’s elevation would infuse youthful energy into the party ranks and usher in a new era of organisational strength and electoral success. He expressed confidence that this momentum would continue into the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections and this would enable the BJP to secure a historic hat-trick in the state.
At the party headquarters here today, the party workers celebrated the appointment of the 12th National President by distributing sweets and congratulating one another. Amid slogans in support of the party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the newly appointed National President, the BJP leaders and the workers said they firmly believe that the BJP would scale new heights under the fresh leadership. Mahendra Bhatt noted that the BJP is perhaps the only political organisation where a committed worker can rise to the highest position through dedication, discipline and guidance. He said Nabin’s long political journey and proven organisational capabilities would inspire millions of workers and ideological supporters across the country. Bhatt further stated that the party’s unstoppable momentum would soon translate into new political success in states such as West Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, in addition to ensuring a decisive victory in Uttarakhand in the 2027 Assembly polls.
Addressing the party workers on this occasion, BJP’s state General Secretary Kundan Parihar said that with the selection of the new National President, the party’s organisational exercise has reached its successful conclusion. He observed that the 45-year-old BJP is poised to reach new heights under the leadership of a President of the same generation. Parihar also noted that Nabin’s journey from an ordinary worker to the top of the party organisation would act as a major source of inspiration and confidence for party members at all levels. He added that Nabin’s organisational acumen combined with youthful enthusiasm would play a crucial role in consolidating the party’s position and achieving its remaining political objectives.
Among those present on this occasion were BJP State Office Secretary Jagmohan Rawat, Mukesh Kumar, State Co-Media In-charge Rajendra Singh Negi, and State Spokespersons Kamlesh Raman, Baljeet Soni and Divya Negi. Also present were Shakuntala, Chandi Prasad Belwal, Harish Chamoli and Anup Rawat, along with a large number of senior leaders, office-bearers and party workers.
