Dehradun, 8 Sep: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17 September, special prayers will be held at Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams, and other related temples. This information was shared today with a group of media persons by Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chairman Hemant Dwivedi.

Dwivedi shared that as per the directions of the state government and under the guidance of BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, a ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ (Service Fortnight) will also be celebrated from the Prime Minister’s birthday until Gandhi Jayanti. During this period, various social and developmental programmes will be organised, including a review of disaster relief work, cleanliness drives, environmental protection initiatives, blood donation camps, and multi-purpose camps to assist specially-abled people.

The BKTC Chairman claimed that it is a matter of pride that the country is progressing under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, the temple committee and the state government will jointly conduct all the activities effectively. Special prayers will be performed at Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams and all the subordinate temples on the Prime Minister’s birthday, with local devotees and officials also participating. Dwivedi also said that prayers will be offered for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health, and his achievements will be honoured. He added that the special programmes to be organised by the temple committee will be symbolic of the country’s progress and the dedicated work towards social welfare under his leadership. He insisted that 17 September will not only be remembered as the Prime Minister’s birthday but also an opportunity to promote service, cooperation, and social responsibility.
