Dehradun, 23 Sep: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today visited Bhitarli village in the Mussoorie Assembly constituency and conducted an on-site inspection of the road damaged by heavy rainfall. The Minister directed the PMGSY officials present at the spot to deploy maximum teams for the speedy opening of the obstructed route and to carry forward the reconstruction work on a war footing. He gave clear instructions to ensure that the repair and reconstruction of the damaged road be completed within a fixed timeline.
During the visit, he also took stock of the disaster-affected Kimadi area.
The Minister instructed the officials to carry out the work promptly, keeping in mind the hardships faced by the local residents. He said that the State Government is giving top priority to the reconstruction of disaster-affected areas and the restoration of basic facilities. Minister Ganesh Joshi also directed officials to regularly monitor the progress of the work so that relief can be provided to the affected people at the earliest.
On this occasion, PMGSY officials and local villagers were also present.
