Dehradun, 18 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the 16th Finance Commission, led by its Chairman Dr Arvind Panagariya, at the Chief Minister’s residence during their visit to Uttarakhand.
The delegation included Commission Members Annie George Mathew, Manoj Panda, and Soumya Kanti Ghosh; Secretary Ritvik Pandey; Joint Secretary KK Mishra; and Joint Director P Amruthavarshini.
On Monday, a key meeting will be held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dhami, during which the State Government will present its proposals to the Finance Commission. Following this, the Commission will also hold meetings with representatives of urban local bodies, panchayats, and political parties.
Present on the occasion were Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Additional Chief Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, and other senior officials from the Finance Department.
