Dehradun, 25 Dec: On the occasion of Good Governance Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, today, presented the Chief Minister’s Excellence and Good Governance Awards to officers and employees of the state, who have done commendable work. He congratulated all the officers and employees who received the award. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that all the officers and employees will continue to work with the same dedication in the future.
The Chief Minister extended best wishes to all the people of the state on “Good Governance Day”, which is celebrated in the memory of former Prime Minister, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that the stalwart of Indian politics, dynamic poet, eloquent orator, creator of Uttarakhand, revered Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee devoted his entire life to public service. His entire life was a source of inspiration not only for the people working in political or social fields but also for all the citizens. He was Ajatashatru in Indian politics in the true sense.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is fast progressing on the path of progress. Uttarakhand is getting full cooperation from the central government in every field. The state government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand the best state of the country by the year 2025. To fulfill this resolution, along with the government, all the residents of the state need to discharge their responsibilities.
In the individual category, 7 people were honoured with the Chief Minister’s Excellence and Good Governance Awards 2021-22. These were Vishal Mishra, Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Rudrapur; Dr Rajeev Kumar, Medical Officer-in-Charge, Community Health Centre, Yamkeshwar; Ajay Singh, the then Senior Superintendent of Police, STF, Dehradun; Dr Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Senior Consultant (Surgeon), Sub District Hospital, Karnprayag; Drishti Anand, Block Development Officer, Yamkeshwar; Manish Khatri, Sub Inspector, Uttarakhand Police, SOG, Champawat; and Naveen Kathait, Constable, Superintendent of Police Office, Kotwali, Karnprayag.
Eleven awards were given in the collective category. The first prize was given to Radha Raturi (Group Leader), Additional Chief Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department; and team members RK Sudhanshu, Principal Secretary; Amit Sinha, Director, ITDA; Vinod Kumar Suman, Secretary; Rajeev Joshi, Sr Technical Director, NIC; and Vandana Dangwal, Under Secretary. The second prize went to Chandesh Kumar (Group Leader) Commissioner and Secretary, Revenue Board, Uttarakhand; team members Muhammad Nasir, Deputy Revenue Commissioner; Anoop Singh Negi, Assistant Review Officer; Pawan Singh, Chief Assistant. The third prize went to Surendra Narayan Pandey (Group Leader), Housing Commissioner, Uttarakhand Housing and Development Board; Team Members Prakash Chandra Dumka, Additional Housing Commissioner; Anand Ram, Executive Engineer; and Babita Sharma, Chief Assistant.
The fourth prize went to Ashish Chauhan (Group Leader), the then District Magistrate, Pithoragarh, team members Gaurav Kumar; Prashant Kumar, Finance Officer; and Mohit Lal Shah. The Fifth Prize was taken by Vijay Kumar Jogdande (Group Leader), the then District Magistrate, Pauri Garhwal, (for works related to “Save the girl child under Women Empowerment and Child Development”), team member Jitendra Kumar, District Programme Officer in-charge; Chandrakanta Kala, Child Development Project Officer; Priti Arora, Child Development Project Officer; Anju, Child Development Project Officer. The sixth prize went to Vijay Kumar Jogdande (group leader) the then District Magistrate, Pauri Garhwal, (regarding implementation of ownership plan in district Pauri Garhwal); team member Ila Giri, ADM, Pauri Garhwal/Nodal Officer; Puran Prakash Rawat, ALRO; Sushila Kothiyal, Tehsildar; Manjit Singh Gill, Tehsildar Yamkeshwar; Yashveer Singh, Tehsildar Dhumakot; Vikas Awasthi, Naib Tehsildar, Kotdwar.
The Seventh Prize went to Swati S Bhadoria, the then District Magistrate/Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Chamoli; and Himanshu Khurana, District Magistrate/Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Chamoli, (Group Leader), Team Members Kumkum Joshi, Deputy District Magistrate; Narendra Singh Rawat, Registrar, Qanungo; Rajveer Singh Negi, Amin, Tehsil; and Shivraj Singh Rawat, Assistant Chief Revenue Accountant. The eighth prize went to Shweta Choubey, IPS, (Group Leader) the then Superintendent of Police, Gopeshwar; team member female sub-inspector NP Meeta Gusai; police persons Usha and Nandi.
A large number of other awards in different categories were presented to other good performers.
