Dehradun, 3 Aug: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today granted financial approval to various development projects in the state worth of Rs 150 crores. The approved project are related to education, drinking water and religious tourism projects.
Of this, an amount of Rs 33.54 crores has been approved from the State Contingency Fund for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry (VCSG Varsity), Bharsar. In Tehri Garhwal district, an amount of Rs 1.05 crores has been sanctioned for the beautification of Dundeshwar Mahadev Temple at Kholakdakot in Devprayag constituency under Kirti Nagar block.
Further, an amount of Rs 2.69 crores has been approved for strengthening the Pau Pumping Scheme in Lohaghat block of Champawat district, while an expenditure to the tune of Rs 113.15 crores has been sanctioned under the centrally sponsored AMRUT 2.0 scheme for the Sahastradhara drinking water project.
The CM emphasised that these approvals reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening education, ensuring reliable drinking water supply and promoting religious tourism as part of the state’s broader development agenda.
