Dehradun, 25 Jul: Uttarakhand has taken remarkable strides towards poverty alleviation. In NITI Aayog’s latest MPI report, the state has achieved an impressive decline in the count of multidimensionally poor people, from 17.67 percent to 9.67 percent in just 5 years. The NITI Aayog has tweeted about the state, mentioning the significant achievement made by the state towards poverty alleviation.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also retweeted the tweet of NITI Aayog, giving credit to PM Narendra Modi for this. In his tweet, Dhami has stated that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government of Uttarakhand is working with determination for the welfare of the poor. As a result, a large population of the state has come above the poverty line as per the data presented by NITI Aayog, which is a big achievement for Uttarakhand.

In the last 9 years, various public welfare schemes run by the Central Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister have resulted in positive changes in the standard of living of the people, Dhami further stated.
