Dehradun, 1 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the creation of the state of Uttarakhand. In his message released on the eve of the anniversary of the Rampur Tiraha incident, the Chief Minister said, “The sacrifice of the martyrs of the statehood movement will always be remembered.”
The Chief Minister said it was only due to the struggle and sacrifice of the statehood agitators that Uttarakhand could become a separate state. He added that the government is continuously working for the development of the state in accordance with the dreams and aspirations of these heroes.
He further stated that the state government is working rapidly in every sector to make this decade the ‘Decade of Uttarakhand’. To make Uttarakhand a model state of the country, collective efforts from all citizens are essential so that the comprehensive development of the state can be ensured in line with the vision of the martyrs of the statehood movement.
