CM Dhami visits Pithoragarh to oversee preparations for Modi’s visit

Pithoragarh, 10 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today reached Pithoragarh to personally take stock of the ongoing preparations for the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in view of his proposed visit there on 12 October.

The Chief Minister conducted inspection and reviewed the aircraft landing, security and other arrangements at Naini Saini Airport, here, today. After this, he took stock of the stage, seating, sound and public address arrangements, as also security arrangements and other necessary amenities like setting up of tents, drinking water, toilets, etc., at the SS Valdiya Sports Stadium here, which is the site for the public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On this occasion, Dhami instructed all officers concerned to ensure timely and foolproof arrangements for Modi’s visit.

The CM also observed that this visit of the Prime Minister to Uttarakhand would give further impetus to the development of Uttarakhand and provide a new identity to various religious tourism areas of the state at the global level, particularly those located in Kumaon region.

On this occasion, Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi, MP Ajay Tamta, District Panchayat President Deepika Bohra, MLA Bishan Singh Chufal, District Magistrate Reena Joshi, Chief Development Officer Varun Chaudhary and other officials were also present.
