RUDRAPRAYAG, 7 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Omkareshwar Temple in district Rudraprayag on Saturday and offered prayers for the prosperity of the state on this occasion.  He also participated in the Pandav dance organised on the temple premises and emphasised integrated efforts for preserving and promoting the state’s rich cultural heritage. On Sunday, the Chief Minister will be launching Winter Char Dham Yatra. It may also be recalled that Omkareshwar temple is the winter abode of Baba Kedar.
Dhami expressed gratitude to the people for electing Asha Nautiyal in the by-election and asserted that development works in the Kedarnath area have made significant progress. He announced that many projects for the Ukhimath area would be implemented soon. After the disaster in Kedar Valley, numerous construction works have been approved. Dhami was present with the people during the disaster in July this year and ensured that the second phase of the journey started early after the disaster.
He stated that efforts are being made to get Rudraprayag district recognised as an ideal district. He noted that women in Kedar Valley are continually promoting innovation, with local products gaining demand nationwide and globally. Dhami also emphasised collaboration with self-help groups, various organisations, and the general public to establish a new chapter of development and prosperity in the area.
Dhami shared that the state government is issuing guidelines to promote the winter Char Dham Yatra. All arrangements are being made for the winter journey, and a high-level meeting is planned in the coming days regarding the Char Dham Yatra. He stated that preparations for the upcoming Yatra have already begun, ensuring work opportunities during the winter journey.
CM Dhami announced that the state government would soon introduce a land law and advance the beautification work of all temples in the area. He also mentioned the commencement of the winter Char Dham Yatra from the land of Kedar from tomorrow.
MLAs Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Asha Nautiyal, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Ajendra Ajay, in-charge Chandi Prasad Bhatt, BJP district president Mahavir Panwar, along with many regional people and officials, were among those present on this occasion.
