Dehradun, 2 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the promo and poster of the first Jaunsari feature film, “Maire Gaon Ki Baat”, at a function organised at his Official Residence here today. During the event, the CM asserted that the state government is fully supporting the production of regional films to promote regional culture. He observed that it is the first Jaunsari feature film made after formation of the state. Through this film, people will have the opportunity to see and learn the rich culture, heritage, and customs of Jaunsar. The film has been directed by Anuj Joshi.
Issuing an appeal to the audience to watch the film, the CM emphasised that the state government is providing all possible assistance in the production and promotion of films made in regional dialects. He reminded that the government has introduced a new film policy, in the belief that the local people of Uttarakhand can advance in every field.
Congratulating actor Abhinav Chauhan, the hero of the film, he noted that Chauhan’s recent Garhwali film, “Asgar”, was also a superhit.
The CM also spoke about development in the Jaunsar region. He shared that the government is developing a master plan for the Hanol temple, which will become a major destination for pilgrims and tourists in the near future. He also reminded that he had presented a replica of the Hanol temple to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Padma Shri awardee Prem Chand Sharma, Secretary HC Semwal, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary Ranveer Singh Chauhan, Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary Atar Singh, lead actor Abhinav Chauhan, lead female actor Priyanka, producer Ayush Goyal, presenter KS Chauhan, and other notable attendees including Ratan Singh Rawat, Jaipal Singh, Anil Dutt, Shrichand Sharma, Bharat Chauhan, Pritam Tomar, Anil Singh Tomar, Ravindra Chauhan, Matwar Singh Rawat, Sumitra Chauhan, Reena Chauhan, Akriti Joshi, Madhubala Singh, Kajal Shah, Lata Rai, Guddi Chauhan, Mamta Tomar, and Sakshi Rawat were also present. The film has been conceptualised by KS Chauhan and directed by Anuj Joshi.
