Dehradun, 12 Aug: Cases of cheating have been registered by Dehradun Police against some former Private Secretaries to CM on the orders of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself.
It is learnt that CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called SSP Dehradun and got FIR registered against these former employees, one of them being his former private secretary.
According to the sources, one senior BJP leader from Patiala in Punjab, Sanjeev Kumar was approached by these employees who tricked him into believing that they would get him some government tenders related to pharmaceutical supplies as his business is medical supplies only. In all Sanjeev Kumar has accused 7 persons including one former private secretary of CM Dhami of cheating.
Taking the complaint on a serious note, CM called up SSP Daleep Singh Kunwar, and directed him to register cases in this respect. One of the accused is Prakash Chandra Upadhyay who is former Private Secretary to CM, while others are Saurabh Sharma, Nandini Vats, Mahesh Marhia, Amit Lamba and Shahrukh Khan.
According to Sanjeev Kumar, former District President of BJP in Patiala, came in touch with Prakash Chandra Upadhyay who was then Private Secretary to CM. On the pretext of getting him supply contracts from the state government of medical supplies, Upadhyay extorted money to the tune of Rs 3.46 crore from him from time to time. However, when nothing happened, Kumar started demanding his money back and was given a cheque of Rs 30 lakhs issued from the bank account of Shahrukh Khan who was an associate of Upadhyay, but the cheque got dishonoured. When he realised that he had actually been duped by Upadhyay and his assciates, he sought an appointment with CM Dhami and briefed him about the incident. Taking a serious note of the incident, the CM directed SSP Dehradun to register a case and take strict action as per the law in this regard.
