DEHRADUN, 20 Apr: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed deep sorrow at the death of Anand Singh Bisht, the father of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He has wished peace to the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Rawat called up UP CM Yogi Adityanath to offer his condolences. It may be recalled that Yogi Adityanath, the UP CM, hails from Yamkeshwar Block in District Pauri, Uttarakhand. His father, Anand Singh Bist, had settled in his native village post retirement from his job with the state forest department. He had been keeping unwell for some time now and had been admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi on 13 March. He was suffering from liver failure.
In his condolence message, CM Rawat said that the late Anand Singh Bisht had a unique personality and was committed to social service. He was an active social worker. Rawat added that Bist would always be remembered for his social service in his native Yamkeshwar block. Bist had also established a college in Yamkeshwar Block where hundreds of students pursue higher education. He had made an outstanding contribution in the field of education.
BJP State President Banshidhar Bhagat has also expressed deep grief at the death of Anand Singh Bisht. In his condolence message, Bhagat said that Bisht had devoted himself to social service after his retirement from government service. Bhagat termed Bisht’s death an irreparable loss to society and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family.
