DEHRADUN, 19 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the second edition of the book, “Meri Yojana – Rajya Sarkar”. This book has been prepared by the Program Implementation Department, and it outlines the plans and services of various departments in simple and practical language, making it easier for the general public to understand.

The main objective of this book is to inform eligible beneficiaries about the process of availing benefits from various government schemes. For example, if a citizen wants to avail the old age/widow pension from the Social Welfare Department, they may know that they are entitled to the pension, but they may not know how to apply, where to apply, what documents are needed, and how to prepare those documents. Due to lack of information or incomplete documents, many eligible beneficiaries fail to get the benefits.

The Program Implementation Department is releasing the second edition of the “Meri Yojana – Rajya Sarkar” book. The first edition of the “Meri Yojana” book was digitally launched in December 2023, and the printed edition was released in February 2024. A total of 8,500 copies of the book were distributed to all Panchayat representatives (from Gram Pradhan to Zila Panchayat President), department heads, District Magistrates, Chief Development Officers, Block Development Officers, and all state libraries. To make the book easily accessible to the public, it has also been uploaded on the websites of all departments, allowing any citizen to download and read it from any department’s website.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, MLA Savita Kapoor, Pramod Nainwal, Chairpersons of various commissions/boards, Deepak Kumar (Secretary, Program Implementation Department), department heads, Secretariat Service officers, distinguished guests, and the entire team of the Program Implementation Department were present.
