CM reviews preparations for G20 Summit in U’khand

Dehradun, 25 Jan: Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, today held a review of the preparations for the proposed G-20 meetings in Uttarakhand from 25 to 28 May and 26 to 28 June 2023. He asked the officers to make all arrangements well in time. He directed the Secretaries concerned to hold regular review meetings to ensure timely preparation for the meetings. He added that he himself would hold review meeting every fortnight in this regard. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand would get a new identity on the global stage through this event. Representatives of G-20 countries would also participate in Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh. With this, the participants of the conference would also be able to get acquainted with the religious and cultural importance of Mother Ganga.
The Chief Minister said that the representatives of G-20 and invited countries would participate in both the G-20 meetings to be held in Uttarakhand in May and June. Directing the officials to ensure timely preparations for the meetings, the CM said that this was a good opportunity for the state to get the local products of Uttarakhand recognised at the national and international level. It be ensured that the uniqueness of the products be such that they could get global recognition on a large scale.

In the meeting, Chief Secretary Dr SS Sandhu; Additional Chief Secretaries Radha Raturi  and Anand Vardhan; and Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu were amongst those present.
