Dehradun, 25 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has accorded financial approval of Rs 62 crores for various development schemes and construction works across the state. Under the state sector, he sanctioned Rs 6.62 crores for land purchase towards construction of an 8 MLD sewerage treatment plant at Tapkeshwar Mahadev, Garhi Dakra Cantt in Dehradun, and approved Rs 41.37 crores for 21 projects funded by NABARD in Uttarakhand. For the forthcoming Kumbh Mela 2027, he sanctioned Rs 5.46 crores for barricading, Chakravyuh barriers and temporary fire watch towers, along with Rs 6.85 crores for eight temporary night shelters.
In Almora district, he approved Rs 124.73 lakhs for completion of renovation works at Sukeshwar Mahadev temple in Sakuni village, releasing a first instalment of Rs 74.83 lakhs. He sanctioned Rs 72.83 lakhs for construction of a dharamshala at Mangla Bhagwati temple in Seraghat, with a first instalment of Rs 43.69 lakhs, and Rs 22 lakhs for beautification and construction of walls and a dharamshala at Budheshwar temple in Bhaudi, Pithoragarh. In Udham Singh Nagar district, he approved Rs 25 lakhs for beautification of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Park and pond at Daroo village in Kichha constituency.
The CM also sanctioned Rs 36.84 lakhs for payment of scholarships to children of ex servicemen pursuing engineering, medical and PhD courses, continuing support from the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund for Kargil martyrs’ families.
In addition, he approved the conduct of Thana Diwas and Ratri Chaupal programmes in Vibrant Villages of Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts. These initiatives aim to establish direct dialogue with villagers on law and security issues, document verification, character certificates, cyber awareness and other grievances related to the police department.
