CM unveils Jai Prakash Pandey’s book ‘Bhoole Bisre Matwale’

Dehradun, 2 Mar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami officially unveiled the debut story collection ‘Bhoole Bisre Matwale’ by writer and Hindi litterateur Jay Prakash Pandey at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Sunday. The book focuses on the forgotten heroes of India’s freedom struggle, highlighting their sacrifices and struggles through historical narratives and inspiring accounts.

The event witnessed the presence of senior literary figure and Head of the Hindi Department at Dev Sanskriti University, Prof Dinesh Chamola, National General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha, Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj, former CGM of ONGC, Aseem Kumar Sinha, litterateur Dr Jigyasa Pandey, and senior social activist Bhupendra Basera, among other distinguished guests.

Dhami lauded Bhoole Bisre Matwale, describing it as a tribute to the great but lesser-known heroes of India’s freedom struggle, who did not receive due recognition in history. He also praised Pandey’s efforts, stating that the book would play a crucial role in introducing younger generations to the sacrifices of their ancestors.

Speaking about his book, Jay Prakash Pandey, who currently serves as Senior Rajbhasha Officer at ONGC Headquarters, Dehradun, expressed that ‘Bhoole Bisre Matwale’ presents the untold stories of freedom fighters whose contributions remain largely unrecognized. The book aims to inspire readers and instill a deep sense of patriotism.

The distinguished guests at the event commended the author’s significant contribution to preserving India’s historical legacy, acknowledging the book as an essential work in honoring the nation’s forgotten heroes.

Earlier, during the World Book Fair in Delhi, the pre-book edition of Bhoole Bisre Matwale was launched by renowned thinker and writer Dr Ram Madhav along with senior journalists.
