Dehradun at 68th rank in Cleanliness Survey 2023

DEHRADUN, 13 Jan: The Government of India has declared the results of the Cleanliness Survey 2023 and it has been Indore and Surat which have jointly emerged as the cleanest cities in the country. However, Uttarakhand cities continue to lag behind other cities in the cleanliness ranking. Dehradun has been ranked at 68th position in the Annual Cleanliness Rankings released by the Union Ministry of Urban Development and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India.

Haridwar has improved its ranking by 6 points this year as compared to last year but still lags way behind at number 176. Its position in Water Plus Category has also improved.  Last year, Haridwar had been ranked at 336. The pilgrim town has also bettered its performance in the state list by several positions.  Roorkee ranked at 180, Haldwani at 211 and Rishikesh at 304 At the same time, Kotdwar has been ranked at 348 and Rudrapur at 417 out of a total 444 Municipal Corporations which have been ranked under this survey.
