Dehradun, 30 Apr: The 6th All India PC Batta Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament 2024 concluded at Kasiga School, here, today. The tournament, spanning over fifteen days, witnessed fierce competition among sixteen teams from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi. The final match was played between Asian School, Dehradun, and Dev Public School, Patna.
Also present at the closing ceremony were Rajiv Rautela, Member of the Board of Revenue, Uttarakhand, and Chairman Ramesh Batta.
Chief Guest Rajiv Rautela commended the organisers for their dedication to promoting cricketing excellence among students and advised students to continue pursuing their passion for the game.
The highlight of the ceremony was the prize distribution. The Best Player of the Tournament, Best Player of the Match and the Best Batsman of the Tournament Awards went to Surya Prakash of Dev Public School. The Best Wicketkeeper and the Best Bowler awards were given to Harsh Raj of Dev Public School and Mehul Malik of Asian School, respectively.
The Runners-up trophy was lifted by Asian Public School. The winner of the tournament was Dev Public School, Patna. The participants of both teams were gifted an individual kit bag beside the certificate of participation.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks.
